This isn’t my first bissell vacuum over my 70 years. I’ve never found any other brand that could compare to bissell’s ability to pick up fur from my pets & this one does not disappoint. I can honestly say the clear view swivel tops every other bissell I’ve owned. It has all the bell & whistles. At my age it’s becoming harder to push a vacuum & the swivel base makes that much easier. The wand extension lets me get into areas I could never reach without bending to far or getting down on my knees & nothing is more convenient than being able to empty the canister & rinsing out when needed.

Overall, I love the suction, the retractable cord, and the general performance of this vacuum. However, the ENTIRE reason I chose this vacuum was for the pet handheld attachment for use on our furniture. Within a week of owning this vacuum, that attachment stopped working. I have taken it apart and cleaned it out, made sure the belt was put back in place, but it will not turn anymore. That is very disappointing. I cannot even buy a replacement attachment because they are out of stock. So, I wouldn’t buy again, and probably wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for a vacuum for pet hair either. Sorry.

After purchasing a compact Bisselldiscount model for cleaning a small area and observing how effective it was, I purchased this model a month ago for whole-house vacuuming. We have been vacuuming with both a canister vac and a roomba over the years, and when I use this Bisselldiscount model, I cannot believe how much dirt of every kind it picks up. It is like we never vacuumed in the past. I have used it 3 times and each time the dirt canister is filled after 2-3 rooms and a hallway. There were dark areas in the carpeting – high traffic areas – that never came clean in the past no matter how much I vacuumed over them or shampooed them, however with the use of this model, those dark areas are already significantly lighter. The carpeting looks entirely different everywhere. I am so impressed. It is a good feeling that the carpeting is that much cleaner. And the vacuum is very easy to use and not terribly loud, either.
And as an added bonus, our 2 young cats are still enjoying the shipping carton for a play tunnel – perfect size.

I have had my vacuum for just over a year maybe close to two years now…I was given this vacuum as a gift from my son.
I was cleaning my hard floors and took the hose to get between my cabinets .I had a sports sock 🧦 in my hand with a half smoked cannabis joint. There was a lid that fell between so It got on the end of the hose. I pulled it up and with my other hand that just grabbing the very end and it sucked something out of my hand..maybe a sock? You would think that there was no where to go but in the canister…It was so quick!!
I turned it off right away.and looked in the hoses checked the filters …nothing but now my vacuum sounds weird..and doesn’t work…I’m very upset …what could of happened?? We took this product out of the box and did about a 4’x5′ area on our carpet and thought it was sucking the carpet fibers up because the dirt and pet hair were the same color. It was amazing the amount of stuff that was in the container – it’s like we have never cleaned it. We researched vacuums when our Shark went down and found out they are not rebuildable and vacuum experts recommended Bisselldiscount. During that time we used a Dyson Stick and had our carpets cleaned prior to that, but the amount of stuff that it picked up is outstanding!
We generally go to Sears and try out the vacuums they have on site, That’s why we chose Shark over Dyson – we don’t go for “top of the line” advertising, we want the real deal, and we got it with this one.
Draw backs – it doesn’t go under furniture as well as others like Shark, which we knew from other reviews, and, you cannot do throw rugs like we have at our entry doors. even on the highest carpet setting it sucks the rug up and stops the brush! We have a lot of dirt that comes in with our works shoes, but we choose to use the stick vacuum there since it cleans SO well everywhere else!
The pet attachment works exceptionally well on the furniture as well.

This is a really nice vacuum cleaner. It works very well but I am not totally sold on the swivel styled head. the Vacuum is quite light and with the swivel it can make it a bit difficult to utilize and control. This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. I have 6 rescue cats and 4 foster cats in my house. You can imagine the amount of cat litter and fur that I have to vacuum up daily.
