Bissel was able to respond to my previous post explaining that this device is not made for carpets. Correct. But I was attempting to clean an area rug. The amount of effort needed to set up and break down isn’t worth the results. When I use on our hard floors, the wheels make streaks that are visible once the solution dries. Good for spills. But more that that I use my wet swifter or shampooer (as this device was not created for carpets…area carpets).

I got the crosswave cordless max as a gift 3m ago was one of the best gifts yet! I used it multiple times a week. It did leave some streaks but I figured out that #1 when goung back not to release water and then it cleans up the streaks also the streaks happen when the bottom of the crosswave gets dirt stuck near the mini wheels so if I wiped off those dirt it was better. However after 2.5m of enjoying it I was startled to get a dirty water tank alerjust after starting it up. And no matter how I tried to clean it, wipe it, dry it, tape it it didnt help for more than 5min. And so the end of my great relationship with the bissell crosswave cordless max ended as I returned the item. And now I’m in search for a new one that would better serve me for a longer stretch.

I really want to like this more than I do, but I’m so disappointed with it. I’ve had this for about a year and it is mediocre at best. I have 4 cats and all LVP flooring, so I like the idea of a vacuum and mop combo to save me time. However, it doesn’t do either all that well. One more than one occasion I’ve had to wipe something up off of the floor immediately after cleaning and my floor is still dirty. We never wear shoes in the house and this vacuum still cannot fully clean our floors. It’s fine for lazy or quick vacuum and mopping, but it is definitely not good enough for a solid clean.
My biggest complaint is that the battery life is atrocious. My house is only 1350 sqft and this vacuum battery does not last long enough to do my entire house. To make matters worse, it takes forever to recharge. Right now I am waiting for it to recharge so I can finish cleaning my floors as I still need to do my living room and hallway. The vacuum has been on the charger for an hour and isn’t even at 1 bar charged (out of 3). This one issue is a big enough problem that it’s the reason I’m only giving it 1 star and would never recommend it to anyone.

I had the original crosswave and it leaked as well. I thought it was just because it was an older model that it could be the reason for it but after having the cordless max I see that it is indeed just a crosswave problem in general.

I honestly detest this vacuum so much so it moved me to write this review. For the price you’re paying, it is just not functional. The vacuum function has poor suction due to the weird plastic bend at the bottom which as a result, only takes very basic and surface level dirt. Honestly a manual broom would take away more dust. The mop function only spreads the dirt instead of cleaning it . The worst part is once you are done with either the mopping or vacuuming, you have to take it apart and deep clean everything because if you don’t, then you will just get even worse cleaning than what i described above. Honestly, i got this vacuum to make my cleaning life easier but its only burdened me and tasked me either more cleaning. Lastly due to it being cordless and carrying water, its heaving and pushing it through high and low pile carpet is a nice workout- the only plus.

This Wet-Dry Vac was purchsed for home use in the Kitchen with vinyl flooring. Most of my cleanup needs are spills and dropped food from my messy cooking procedures, so this seemed like a better purchase than a typical cordless dry vacuum.
PROS –
1) Very effective at cleaning the floor. The “mop-like” rotary head seems to be move effective than brushes on cleaners I have used previously.
2) Easy to manuever under cabinet toe-kicks and edges of floorboards. The main body is connected to the base with a ball & socket which lets you move easily with one hand.
3) It’s Cordless with a good runtime, so no dragging a cord across your newly cleaned floor. After a month, I have not run out of battery capacity when needed. Mine reaches full charge in less than a hour afrer heavy use.
4) The Docking Station provides a charging station and a base so the brush doesn’t drip / drain on the floor. It allows a “self-cleaning” cycle which mostly cleans the brush roll and the internal plumbing. Hopefully that cycle reduces odor from the roller when not in use. The Bisselldiscount instructions want you to disassemble and wash out the roller and dirty water tank after each use, but I have used it serveral times a day and only self-cleaned between. Don’t let the dirty water tank sit overnight without a through cleaning.
5) My unit was purschase direcdtly from Bisselldiscount and was bundled with an extra brush roll, and 4 small bottles of cleaning solution – Two for Multi-Surface cleaning and two Sanitize solutions.
CONS – The suction force is not enough to remove that last film of water and actually dry the floor. I follow behind with a old beach towel so I’m not leaving footprints on a damp surface. The leading edge of roller housing does not have a good flexible squeege edge to wipe the surface so that is a contributing factor. There is a “Omniforce” CrossWave showing 75 % greater Dry suction, but it costs over $120 than I paid and may not work better with liquid.

We love our cordless crosswave! It’s our second crosswave, we bought a corded unit years ago when it first came out. Using it once a week (and more when one of our dogs has an accident), on 1,000 sqft. of porcelain tile flooring, we finally wore it out and replaced it with the cordless model. It’s everything the first corded model was and more! It’s so convenient to be able to scrub the floors and have it dry in a matter of a few minutes. We wouldn’t do without it!

I used to love this product! I used it quite often until….I had to replace the handle. Since then it hasn’t worked worth a darn! I have to “reset” the thing every time I want to use it and that usually doesn’t work. I just give up after minutes of trying. I am beyond frustrated and so MAD that I don’t have this to help me anymore. I have MS and relied on my crosswave to help keep my floors clean without wearing myself out. I’m back to the broom, mop & bucket again. Almost want to try another, but can’t afford it. Good luck!

My crosswave worked ok for the first three years. You have to watch how much solution you use or it leaves a dirty water smear on the floor when you’re done. Then it started screaming turns out the roller brush motor went bad so I replaced that. Used it two more times now the vacuum motor is screaming and that has to be replaced. This vacuum was like $500 when it first came out and has only lasted three years. Also this does more of a surface clean it does not replace and good old mop and bucket unfortunately

I absolutely love my crosswave! It cleans my hardwood and tile much better than my mop or steam cleaner. However I will say I do vacuum first to get all of the hair and mess up. I have not tried it without doing any prep work. Also if you have more than 1400sqft to clean then you will have to charge it before continuing. The carpet feature isn’t amazing but it does do a nice quick surface clean.

I like the capacity and convenence. However, I do not like the very weak suction motor at all. It leaves the floor much wetter than previous Bisselldiscount models. It also stays so wet inside so it begins to stink after a while. Then when used, it spreads the stink. The only way to prevent this is to tear down completly and clean after every use which defeats the convience factor. I’ve used only Bisselldiscount cleaning solution so far.

I recently purchased the Bisselldiscount Crosswave Cordless Max and have been extremely disappointed with its performance. Here are the key issues I’ve encountered:
1. The cordless runtime is only 30 minutes, which is insufficient for thoroughly cleaning sections of my house. This short battery life severely limits its practicality.
2. Despite cleaning the wheels and spindle every few passes, the device leaks dirty water, making the cleaning process messier and more frustrating.
3.The unit is heavier than I anticipated, and the wheels feel cheaply made, making it difficult to maneuver on both floors and carpet. The poor wheel quality adds unnecessary effort to the cleaning process.
4. The vacuum option is nearly unusable due to the amount of force needed to push it through the carpet. This makes the overall experience uncomfortable and inefficient.

I had the crosswave Pet Pro Plus which i absolutely loved. When the machine malfunctioned I was offered this product as a replacement and it is absolutely terrible. It does not clean the floors properly and after I am finished I need to go back over the areas with a mop or my Swiffer. Often times my swiffer does a better job. It is not light weight. I can not finish my floors before the battery runs out. The only good thing is the size of the dirty water tank.
