I have a white haired cat and a huge dark colored rug, as well as a beagle. So lots of hair and cat litter dust. This vacuum is amazing at picking up hair and dust. The fine powder that’s in the bottom of the canister amazes me every time. I love the hepa filter, and haven’t had to clean the rollers.
If I had any negatives, it is fairly heavy, the cord comes out the bottom so you do need to hook the cord so it doesn’t get in the way, and I miss having more attachments for the wand. It comes with two, an electric roller brush that’s a bit awkward to use due to lack of bending so it needs to be completely flat and lined up with the wand– great for stairs, I wanted to use it on my dog bed but you basically need to be level with the ground yourself with the wand handle also parallel to the floor. If the accessory had an elbow that bent, it would’ve been amazing. The other is a brush accessory and I can see the bristles wearing out eventually. I miss the non brush attachment most vaccuums have.
Overall though, for the price, this is an amazing and powerful vaccuum.

I regrettably went to Bisselldiscount after having a Shark for years. This vacuum is terrible. It does not pick up the most obvious messes and I have to run over the floor three or fours times to get it where it looks clean. I truly doubt it is picking up more than what is on the very surface of the carpet. The hose electrically shocks me profusely while I’m using it, so I have to be careful not to let the hose hit my leg while I use it. The bristles on the end of the wand are annoying and pointless. I miss my pointy wand and separate brush attachment. I have to take the entire canister apart to clean it out, you can’t just stand over a bin and dump everything out, you have to clean everything out with your hand and pull out the insert and shake that out as well. The roller is not “self-cleaning”. I have to unclog the roller every couple of weeks. I will not be buying Bisselldiscount again, huge disappointment!

I’ve had the vac almost 3 weeks. It was to replace a vac that burnt out the beater bar motor. I have 3 dogs & 2 that shred so I mostly use it on a couple of area rugs most every day. Went back to a corded , bagged vac for a few weeks. This vac picked up dog hair a lot better & did not get dog hair wrapped around the beater bar. I tried the vac only on the solid floors & it seemed to pick up well.I did seem to find more dirt than before. I am used to using the air compressor to clean out the filter & that was easy. Have not tried washing it out yet. The small head with beater bar worked very well. The lights worked; but showed more in the corners than I wanted to see. I’m very happy so far.

I purchased the Multi Clean Allergen Lift-Off Pet 2998 about 1 month ago, so I have gotten a few uses with it. I bought it to replace a 16 year old Bisselldiscount Lift-Off Revolution vacuum, which still works but had some broken plastic parts (extension wand, handle, and finally a plastic clip that kept the vacuum standing up right.)
I wanted a vacuum similar to what I had so researched all the models (Bisselldiscount has MANY models)! After comparing specs, different models, and watching some YouTube reviews I landed on the 2998.
So far it is a great replacement. Despite having a 7.5 amp motor compared to my old one (12 amp), the suction power is very strong. It picks up more dog hair especially out of carpet than the old vac. I have a black Labrador that sheds constantly. The LED lights on the front are a great feature, they illuminate all the dirt and crumbs. I will sometimes detach the hose and use the lights from the base to illuminate into corners. The lift-off function is great for vacuuming stairs along with the turbo brush. The vacuum does well on tile and hardwood also. The optional brush roll switch is a great feature. The weight is around 15 lbs, down about 6 lbs from my old vac so it feels very light and more maneuverable.
A couple things that could make this vacuum better are longer cord, it’s around 25 feet, and the old one was 30 feet, (I notice my reach isn’t as far so I have to unplug and find another outlet). The dirt collection bin is a little small, I have to empty it more often but that’s not a big deal knowing it sucks up more hair out of the carpet. Lastly it would be nice if the crevice/dusting tool had an LED light on it like the Surface Sense and Turbo Pet Eraser, although those models are priced a bit higher.
All in all, this is a vacuum that packs great cleaning power into a fairly compact, and versatile package. Looking forward to getting many years of use from this new Bisselldiscount 2998 vacuum!

Having 2 long-haired means my house seems to be always covered in a layer of fur. This machine is great for removing it all. I vacuum the floor, lift the canister and go right down the stairs to the couch, cleaning it all. The fur remover attachment works perfectly for this. The headlight helps me see all the dirt, like kitty litter and sewing threads, so I know I get everything. As an added bonus, my long hair doest get tangled in the brush head.
I wish the hose was either a bit longer or stretched easier. Not a deal breaker though, as the canister is light enough to carry around while vacuuming.

I have loved this vacuum- it has the lights for seeing corners and under shelves, it swivels nicely, and it does its job well. Until it didn’t. Less than a year later, it has stopped turning on. I bought this for the bedrooms. It feels sturdy and was very easy to assemble. It removed an amazing amount of pet hair from my oversized area rug and was gentle when used on bare wood floors. The Lift Off feature is great for the stairs. Pet eraser tool works well. My only complaint is that it cannot really clean under beds even if there is 6 inch clearance. What this machine is missing is an attachment that has a low profile to go under beds and other low clearance furniture. The combo wand and the “pet eraser tool” do not have the correct angle to clean under furniture. I just checked the website and I don’t see any other possible attachments, so I might not be able to get rid of my old cannister vac.
