I first purchased the CrossWave HydroSteam carpet cleaner and was pleased, but realized I probably wouldn’t use the hardwood floor cleaning feature as much and wanted rug cleaner that had a bit more power as I have three indoor cats. I returned the CrossWave as it didn’t have an attachment for carpeted stairs and difficult to manuever on stairs. I purchased the ProMax Clean. It was much better for my needs and easier to clean after use. It did a great job and didn’t soak through my area rugs to the pad and new hardwood floors below. The only negatives are the shampoo is a bit expensive and I only get six cleanings from the special cleaning formula. I also had to purchase the stair attachment separately. Remember to get one if you have carpeted stairs. Otherwise, I am very happy with the ProMax machine and the sale price was very reasonable.
