I’ve used Bisselldiscount upright carpet shampooers & spot cleaners for about 20 years. They are by far the easiest to use, most effective & reliable carpet cleaners I’ve ever had. This new model is slightly larger than my last carpet cleaner & it seems to be giving the excellent service I’ve come to expect from Bisselldiscount.
I like the tray that sits under the unit so that it dries without marking the flooring after use. The water reservoirs work essentially the same as on my old model & are easy to remove & clean. Cleaning the brush, however, remains a frustrating & laborious chore.
I have long hair, which gets wrapped around the roller-type brush & is remarkably hard to remove. I also have 3 toy poodles. Their hair is also difficult to remove from the brush & surrounding hardware. I wish it was as easy to access & clean as the parts on my cordless Bisselldiscount AirRam vacuum. It’s a snap to disassemble & clean — Bisselldiscount engineers: Please apply your talents to improving how to clean the roller brush & surrounding hardware!
Overall, even with cleaning difficulties, I’m very pleased with how well this new model works. It’s a bit heavy for my comfort (I’ve had total reverse shoulder replacement surgeries on both sides), but it’s well worth the effort. I’d recommend this carpet shampooer to those who can afford it. (On Social Security, it took me over 3 months to save up to buy this unit to replace my old one.)

I am not sure if it is my bad luck or what, I have two almost new machine that I purchased directly from Bisselldiscount and both stopped working after 4-5 time use on two average carpets.
I have two dogs and my carpet needs to be cleaned. I have no idea what I have to do with these machines. The repairshop is in another city and I am out of luck.

It’s an effective cleaner on my old nylon carpets with normal shoe-dirt; better than my old cleaner, but still leaves some uneven cleaning marks. The tanks are pretty small so you spend a fair amount of time dumping and refilling. It intermittently makes a squealing noise as well as the normal motor/vacuum noises, which I asked Support about and all they said was to check for dirt in the debris filter etc (this happened on the very first use, and kept happening even after an hour of carpet cleaning and following their FAQs on cleaning the machine). I decided to keep it and make sure to use hearng protection (which I should, anyway) but it worries me about about the durability I can expect … so I recommend it, but with caveats

As with our previous carpet cleaner from a different popular brand both fall short when it comes to tank volume, much too small, and the ability to fill the tank with ease. Even using a funnel and measuring cup is awkward as the tank does not sit flat so it either takes two or find a method to hold the tank upright while filling.
Second improvement I would like to see is the ability to remove the rollers for a more thorough cleaning. Our other machine allows for this and while yes, it means more parts, it does allow to clean them much easier. Also the underside and wheels can capture pet hair. And those with dogs/cats that shed, will understand!
Suction seems pretty decent but of course this also depends on how much solution is applied and speed at which the suction pull is done.
Overall it did a great job off cleaning our carpet, including the occasional pet induced stains! While we have a portable for accidents, spills, etc. for those that don’t show until later, were all cleaned without issue. Of course our previous machine did too but I think this machine, along with Bisselldiscount’s cleaning solution, did better job with less attention to the stains.
Lastly, prior to cleaning the carpet I vacuum like there is no tomorrow. Anything to get as much hair, dander, what-have-you, up before hitting it with the cleaner. Lastly, I always go back over the area cleaned with plain water. Yes, it does take twice as long but I have been told too many times if not, dirt can trapped in the leftover cleaning solution. Perhaps no longer relevant with today’s solutions but until I know for certain, I am fine spending the time.
I only wish the deal w/ the free steam mop was available when I purchased this as half the home is not carpet!

I used my Revolution Hydrosteam carpet cleaner for the first time yesterday and was very impressed with how well it cleaned.
My previous Bisselldiscount, purchased about 40 years ago, was quite cumbersome although I liked the fact that I could attach a hose directly to the hot water tap. Then, tap designs changed and I had to replace it. I can only hope the new Bisselldiscount lasts as long but I won’t be here to find out . . . I’ll leave to someone in my will.
The only thing I can see being a nuisance with this new machine is that the water capacity is very low both for the cleaning solution and for the dirty water tank. I had to dump the dirty water after only 2 quarts had accumulated. It was extremely sudsy too which makes me wonder if I couldn’t get away with less concentrate.

The clean water tank holds less than a gallon of water which means many refill trips to clean an average bedroom, usually about 4. The recovery tank holds 1/2 that amount so you are looking 2x as many trips to empty the dirt water. The suction hose with any attachment barley picks up any water at all

I bought this product thinking the attachments would work for stairs or upholstery but they don’t. I would give the attachments a zero star they are nit even 15% as good as a standard shop vac. However the upright steam cleaner is fantastic and works great. I would give that a 5 star review. However the package is not what they advertise so an average of 3 stars is wat you get.

Left my carpet sopping wet. I couldn’t get it to suck up the dirty cleanser from carpet. I tried different settings & attachments to no avail. It was still too wet. Tried to use the hose with stairs attachment & it didn’t spray the cleanser, but had suction. Ended up using that to suck up excess liquid from my rug and still had to lay towels down because it was so wet. Very disappointed Bisselldiscount is usually better than this. Might try another machine

I was excited to try this out. I’ve used the Rug Doctor for many years but wanted something easier to maneuver. This carpet cleaner didn’t really pick up the dirt and grime in the carpets like I had hoped. The cleaning solution also didn’t penetrate the carpet very well so the brushes were just spinning around on the surface. The steam feature is just okay, I didn’t feel like it was getting hot enough to really do anything (I felt the carpet with my hand right after moving the machine over it). The furniture hose attachment was decent and picked up the dirt in my carpeted stairs and had good suction. I did also like the cleaning feature for the machine when finished using it. I would consider returning this machine if it wasn’t such a hassle to do so.
